On 9 May 2012 traditional wreath-laying ceremonies and Remembrance services on the occasion of the Victory Day took place in Dundee and Orkney in Scotland. In Dundee, the wreaths were laid at the International Submarine Memorial by the representatives of the Russian Consulate General and the Ukrainian Consulate General in Edinburgh, Dundee authorities and veterans organisations. The Russian Orthodox Remembrance service was also held at the Memorial earlier this month. The memorial commemorates the crews of the Allied submarines based in the city during World War II and lost, among them being the Soviet V-1 submarine. In Orkney, the representatives of the Russian Consulate General and the local community laid the wreaths at the Lyoness Arctic Convoys Memorial on the Island of Hoy. They were joined by the local authorities, Royal British Legion Scotland as well as the local school students.
On 5-6 June 2013, the 18th Ministerial Session of the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS) will take place at the «Yantar» State Residence in the Pionersky town, the Kaliningrad region.

A meeting of the Business 20 Organizing Committee on preparations for the G20 Business Summit, to be held as part of the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 20-21, 2013, took place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom. Russia was represented at the meeting by the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and Chief of the Business 20 for the period of the Russian Presidency Alexander Shokhin.
On May 21, London hosted a round table on private investment in infrastructure projects organized by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Kirill Dmitriyev, RDIF CEO and Co-Chair of the Business 20 Investment and Infrastructure Taskforce, and Thomas Maier, EBRD Managing Director for Infrastructure, moderated the discussion.
