Head of ‘Russky Mir’ Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov receives the honorary doctor degree at the University of Edinburgh
On 28 June 2012 the head of ‘Russkiy Mir’ Foundation, Member of the Russian State Duma, head of Moscow State University’s School of Public Administration Dr Vyacheslav Nikonov received the Degree of Doctor honoris causa at the University of Edinburgh. Famous Russians receiving such degree in the past were Dmitry Mendeleev and Dmitriy Likhachev.
‘Russkiy Mir’ Foundation has well-established links with the Edinburgh University, with Princess Dashkova Russian Centre having been jointly established in the University in 2010.
On 5-6 June 2013, the 18th Ministerial Session of the Council of Baltic Sea States (CBSS) will take place at the «Yantar» State Residence in the Pionersky town, the Kaliningrad region.

A meeting of the Business 20 Organizing Committee on preparations for the G20 Business Summit, to be held as part of the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 20-21, 2013, took place at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom. Russia was represented at the meeting by the President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and Chief of the Business 20 for the period of the Russian Presidency Alexander Shokhin.
On May 21, London hosted a round table on private investment in infrastructure projects organized by the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Kirill Dmitriyev, RDIF CEO and Co-Chair of the Business 20 Investment and Infrastructure Taskforce, and Thomas Maier, EBRD Managing Director for Infrastructure, moderated the discussion.
