To the attention of airlines

Taking into account the flight ban UK-Russia, according to the decision of the Russian Government, dated 14 April 2021 № 963-p, from now on all British and foreign nationals, living in the UK with a residence document, can travel to Russia with a valid visa or on a visa-free basis (when appropriate) from London via a third country, which is on the list approved by the Government. Tourists, businessmen and others with any kind of Russian visa, who could enter the Russian Federation before 14 April only by direct flight London-Moscow, can now use transit ways in approved countries.

The list of these transit countries includes: Germany, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Switzerland, Egypt, the Maldives, UAE, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Republic of Korea, Cuba, Japan, the Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Singapore, Venezuela, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka.

Please, note that foreign nationals, living in the UK with a residence document, besides the PCR-test done within 3 days before traveling, have to show such residence document during check-in at the airport and at the Russian border control. In case of absence of this document the passenger will be denied entry to the Russian Federation and will be sent back. A certified printout from the Home Office website confirming the residential status of the foreign passenger can be accepted as a residence document.

All British and foreign nationals are strongly advised to check beforehand their documents with respective airlines and transit countries.
