On Russia-Vanuatu visa waiver agreement

An agreement between the governments of the Russian Federation and Republic of Vanuatu providing for visa free travel by citizens of both countries came into effect on 21 October 2016.

Under the agreement citizens of both countries who hold valid travel passports can enter/exit, transit or stay on the territory of the other country without visas up to 90 days in the course of each 180-day period, starting from the date of their first entry. Visas will be required for a longer stay on the territory of the foreign state for the period exceeding 90 days as well as for commercial and business activities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 413 of August 16, 2004 “On migration card”, the migration cards are distributed gratis by immigration officers at all ports of entry to the Russian Federation. A foreign national must carry this card during the whole period of stay in the Russian Federation


04.08.2017 - E-visa will be available to visit Primorye territory of the Russian Federation

Starting from August 8, 2017, nationals of Algeria, Bahrain, Brunei, India, Iran, Qatar, PRC, DPRK, Kuwait, Morocco, Mexico, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Tunisia, Turkey and Japan may be granted an electronic visa (e-visa) to enter the Russian Federation through the border crossing checkpoints, located on the territory of the Free Port of Vladivostok.

Based on the progress of the ongoing investigation, the British Government lowered the terrorism threat level from critical to severe.


29.05.2017 - List of 18 countries whose citizens can benefit from simplified entry to Russia through checkpoints at the Free Port of Vladivostok

The Government of the Russian Federation has approved a list of eighteen countries whose citizens can now obtain a regular single-entry business, tourist or humanitarian visa in an electronic form to enter Russia through checkpoints at the Free Port of Vladivostok.
