Memory of WWII Allied Submariners was honoured at International Submarine Memorial in Scottish city of Dundee

On Victory Day 9th May 2017, annual wreath laying ceremony at the Dundee International Submarine Memorial was conducted.

The Memorial, unveiled in 2009, commemorates the crews of the Allied submarines, which were based in the city during the World War II and didn't return from their missions. Among those submarines was the Soviet ‘V-1' under the command of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Captain 2nd Rank Israel Fisanovich, lost in 1944.

The ceremony was attended by the Consul General of the Russian Federation in Edinburgh Andrey A.Pritsepov, the Lord Lyon King of Arms, the Deputy Lord Lieutenant  Mr Joseph Morrow,  Rev George Zavershinsky, Rev David Randall, veterans, representatives of the local and Russian community of Dundee.
